News World Star Wars Outlaws roadmap reveals Lando and Hondo for paid season pass

With just a few weeks left until the release of Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft has released a post-launch content plan that confirms, among other things, that Lando Calrissian and Hondo Ohnaka will be included in the game's paid Season Pass.

Star Wars Outlaws launches on August 30, and owners of the Season Pass – included in the £95 Gold Edition and £115 Ultimate Edition of the game – will get immediate access to the Vessel Runner Character Pack (also a pre-order bonus), which includes cosmetics for protagonist Kay and her companion Nix, as well as the exclusive mission Jabba's Gambit.

Ubisoft assured players earlier this year that Jabba the Hutt would also appear in the Outlaws base game, after fans feared that one of Star Wars' most famous villains would be hidden behind a paid season pass. The recently confirmed inclusion of Lando Calrissian and Hondo Ohnaka in the Outlaws season pass could prove similarly controversial, especially since Ubisoft has yet to confirm whether they will also appear in the base game.

Lando Calrissian appears in Outlaws' first major DLC – Story Pack 1, also known as Wild Card – which is set to launch this fall. “Kay is hired to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament,” explains Ubisoft, “but when she encounters notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, she soon learns that a different game is being played here.” Story Pack 1 will launch alongside two additional cosmetic packs – Hunter's Legacy and Cartel Ronin – which will also be part of the Season Pass.

Hondo Ohnaka will appear in a second story pack titled A Pirate's Fortune in spring 2025. “The Trailblazers' reputation precedes Kay when she meets veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka,” according to the official description, “who is looking to settle old scores with a ruthless band of pirates.”

Eurogamer's Chris Tapsell wasn't particularly impressed with Ubisoft's open-world take on Star Wars when he played Outlaws earlier this year, calling it “worryingly dated.” However, Ian Higton was a little more positive after four hours of playtime in July, writing, “If you're looking for a familiar, inoffensive slice of Star Wars, I don't think this one will miss the mark.”

Star Wars Outlaws will be available upon launch on August 30th for PC (via Epic and the Ubisoft Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
